intellcert GmbH provides independent product certification services in accordance with ISO 17065. As a certification body, we objectively assess whether products meet relevant standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements, where no Notified Body (NB) obligation applies.

Product certification ensures that products meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements. An independent ISO 17065 certificate serves as objective evidence for customers, business partners, and authorities, reinforcing trust in your products.
Relevant Standards and Guidelines
Our certification services are based on internationally recognized standards, including:
- ISO 17065, Requirements for Bodies Certifying Products, Processes or Services
Framework for independent product evaluations and certification procedures. - IEC 61508 / ISO 13849, Functional Safety
Requirements for electrical/electronic controls and machinery safety systems. - IEC 62443-4-2, Industrial Cybersecurity
Requirements for components in industrial automation systems. - Other relevant standards as applicable
e.g., ISO/IEC 27001 for information security aspects or other industry-specific safety and quality standards.

Products that legally require certification exclusively by Notified Bodies are outside the scope of our certification services.
Purpose of Product Certification
The purpose of product certification is to provide an objective demonstration that:
- defined product requirements are met,
- products conform to applicable standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements,
- conformity has been verified by an independent certification body.

Our activities are strictly limited to independent certification services, and specifically include:
- Conformity Assessment
Review of documentation, technical evidence, and conformity information to verify compliance of products with relevant standards. - Certification Decision and Issuance of the Certificate
Analysis of submitted documentation and independent decision on issuing an ISO 17065 certificate. - Surveillance and Recertification
Conducting surveillance and recertification audits according to defined schedules and accreditation requirements.

Independent product testing, test reports, or CE marking activities that are exclusively reserved for Notified Bodies are not part of our services.
