Personnel certification in artificial intelligence proves that a specialist can govern AI systems competently and responsibly. What is assessed is an understanding of AI management systems. For example per ISO/IEC 42001. The assessment of risks posed by AI systems, and the requirements for transparency, data quality, robustness and human oversight, as also provided for by the regulatory framework for AI.
The certification is aimed at roles such as AI officers, AI governance managers and specialists who develop, introduce or oversee AI systems. Their competence and qualifications are assessed and confirmed by an independent body.

Frequently asked questions
Is the certification tied to the regulatory AI framework?
The competence assessment is oriented towards the AI management system per ISO/IEC 42001 and takes central regulatory requirements into account. It does not, however, involve a legal conformity assessment of individual AI systems.
Is the certification aimed only at technical roles?
No. AI governance is interdisciplinary. It addresses both technical and governing and supervisory roles responsible for AI systems.
How is currency ensured?
Certified individuals receive an official certificate that specifies the scope and validity period. For re-certification, you must demonstrate that you still possess the required competence. This is done by proving your knowledge of current developments in your field.
